Now that you have learned a variety of strategies that employ a coordination of ideas for rhetorical effect, you are going to put these rhetorical skills to work. You will be choosing a topic and creating a speech using the rhetorical strategies you have learned. The speech should be 3 to 5 minutes in length, and should employ each strategy at least once. You are to choose a topic for your speech, and your speech must work toward persuading your audience of whatever your stand is on a topic. I expect that you will put all your knowledge of argumentation and persuasion into your speech. You may work in groups of up to three, or you may work alone.
