1. Finish the Pre-Reading Activity for Fences, making sure to appropriately complete your Works Cited page (page 72 in The Bedford Reader has a sample Works Cited page. Do not use Wikipedia as your source of information.
2. Review appeals to logic (logos), emotion (pathos), and ethics (ethos) in the Chapter 9 handout and in The Bedford Reader (pp. 518-19).
3. Read Fences, Act One, Scenes One and Two.
4. Fill out the Major Works Data Sheet as you go. In addition, jot down quotes you feel are significant. Also, try to think of Wilson's arguments as you read through Fences, and determine what appeals he uses.
Complete by Monday, 9/17. A reminder: Do not complete Political Cartoon #4.
